Admission information for EU Member States, EEA and Swiss Confederation citizens - academic year 2018 - 2019

 
 1. General Information
 Citizens of EU Member States, Member of the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation may apply for admission to all cycles of university studies in the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, after the recognition of their studies undertaken in the home countries.

 2. The Recognition of Studies
 The recognition of studies is made by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED), within the Ministry of National Education (MEN).

 2.3. Submitting the documents for the recognition of the studies

 Applicants for undergraduate, master or doctoral studies, will send the documents for the recognition of studies in an envelope at the address:

The period for submitting the documents for recognition of the studies:

a) For Undergraduate and Master Programme

01st of April - 08th of June 2018 – for admission session in July 2018

01st of April - 06th of July 2018 –for admission session in September 2018

b) For Doctoral Programmes

01st of June - 10th of July 2018 – for admission session in September 2018

If CNRED will require additional documentation, the candidate will have to provide the completing documents, not later than 17.12.2018 (date registry MEN).

 3.4. Conditions of linguistic competence
 Transilvania University of Brasov offer study programmes taught in Romanian, English, German or French, so students must be proficient in these languages.
 
3.4.1. For study programmes taught in a language widely spread internationally, registration for admission will be conditional on a test of language proficiency rated pass/fail. The test is held at Transilvania University of Brasov, on the day of submission admission file.
 The test is not required in the following cases:
 - Candidates have an internationally recognized language certificate
 - Candidates come from countries whose official language is the same as teaching language of study programmes

 3.4.2. For study programmes taught in Romanian language, foreign candidates are required to submit for registration a certificate for Romanian language proficiency issued by institutions skilled in by MENCS.
 Are exempt from this requirement:
 - Candidates who present Romanian documents of study
 - Candidates who have documents of study attesting they followed a public school in Romania at least 4 consecutive years of study
 - Candidates who have documents of study attesting at least 3 consecutive academic years followed in a higher education institution accredited in Romania.
 
 Romanian ethnic candidates who have studied other languages than Romanian, will take a test of proficiency in Romanian language. Testing will take place at the Centre for Language Learning of the university.

 Foreign applicants wishing to study in Romanian language have the opportunity to enroll for a preparatory year for learning Romanian language at Transilvania University of Brasov.
 
 4. Fees
 The fees for citizens of EU member states, of the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation, are the same as those established for Romanian citizens.
