A unitary approach in education, training and research, based on the concepts of sustainable development, is the main principle that UTBv has promoted during last years and remains a benchmark ofthe next period. Consequently, the restructuring process conducted over the past years focused on institutional development, and integrating high level teaching and learning with research; an analytical and critical transfer of knowledge, enhanced by practice-oriented education supported this approach. In order to meet the student educational needs as well as those of the labour market, the university has constantly widened and diversified its educational offer, so that every year new study programmes at all levels undergo national accreditation. This dynamic process is conducted simultaneously with the analysis of all study programmes of the university, based on efficiency and performance criteria established at national and European framework reference level.
